5. Give Destroyers some lov'n - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Edited by: Ral YoungBeard on 21/05/2008 20:14:31 Destroyers aren't meant to be toe-to-toe fleet ships. They are hit-and-run fighters, designed for fast locking and high volley damage at long range (for small weapons). Keep your destroyer out o...

6. How does people feel about EvE-Online ? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Joined in early 2004, quit for a couple years (for RL and IG issues), came back early 2006 and am still loving it. This is the kind of game I can play for years to come.

7. The problem with EVE... - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Edited by: Ral YoungBeard on 03/11/2006 19:34:40 Originally by: Grey Area ...is that it's just not SUBTLE. There's no thinking time in combat. There's no strategy to a fleet battle...it's just "my big blob vs your big blob"...and gate ...

10. How important is audio to your gameplay? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
I would love to play with sound effects on, but the dang warp drive noise prevents me from hearing ventrilo properly. And voice coms are essential for pvp.

11. Good character build? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Sounds good to me. With those balanced stats you can probably pursue whatever career you'd like. If you want to be more specialized, you might want to make some changes (more Per/Will for a combat character; more Int/Mem for a miner or industriali...

13. Where to go from here... - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
If you do decide to go the missioning route, train your Social skills (Connections especially) as they make getting the higher level agents a LOT easier.

Edited by: Ral YoungBeard on 20/09/2006 16:04:36 Rat in 0.0. It's not as hard, nor as dangerous, as you might think. Got buddies? A group of frigates can kill battleship spawn. The neat thing about it is most BS can't hit frigates due to thei...

19. Stabber PvE setup? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I vote for AC's; artillery can be hard to fit due to high powergrid requirements. Plus the Minmatar cruisers' speed just begs you to fly them is an "in your face" manner.

20. New players, don't be misled by the naysayers - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Destroyers are definitely underrated. The Cormorant is quickly becoming my favorite destroyer. Sensor booster + 150mm rails + iron charges + skills = 50+ km optimal range (all tech I)
